Co-op Pellets started with a simple conviction: performance horses deserve cleaner air, and the people who care for them deserve better tools. We’re horsepeople, ranchers, farmers, and practical stewards of God’s creation. West Texas taught us to respect what we have, use it wisely, and leave the land and animals better than we found them.

Today we produce two product lines from that same ethos: equine bedding pellets engineered for cleaner, drier stalls with less dust and less labor, and Rancher’s Own BBQ pellets made from authentic Texas mesquite. Both lines are produced with regional sourcing and a focus on measurable performance.

Our equine bedding isn’t generic biomass. It’s purpose-built from regionally available agricultural residues and select softwoods—processed to lock in moisture, control ammonia, and minimize dust. Barns that trial our pellets tell us stalls stay drier longer and cleaning stalls take less time. The material composts well and supports a healthier environment for horses and handlers.

“Rancher’s Own” is BBQ with a story. We convert mesquite cleared during pasture improvement into clean-burning, bold-flavor pellets with no fillers or additives. Every bag can carry the name of the ranch it came from, so customers get authentic Texas flavor and a real connection to the land. For participating ranches, the model helps fund land restoration while turning overgrowth into value instead of waste.

We do this work close to where materials are sourced. Our regional and mobile processing approach reduces miles, supports local supply chains, and lets us pelletize mesquite at or near the ranch where it’s cleared. It’s a practical, closed-loop mindset: take underused biomass, make something genuinely useful, and prove the performance in real-world settings.

Proof matters more than hype.
We invite side-by-side trials, track batch data, and work with barns and universities to verify results.
If our equine bedding doesn’t cut dust, reduce ammonia, and save you time, we won’t keep calling.
That’s the deal.

We serve barn owners, trainers, and horse owners who want cleaner stalls with less work; ranchers who are improving pasture and want to monetize cleared mesquite; and retailers who want authentic, regional products that sell. Whether you manage a training facility, have pastures overtaken with mesquite country, or stock your shelves for discerning customers, we aim to deliver products that earn their keep.

Our commitments are straightforward. We put animals first by focusing on cleaner air and healthier recoveries. We practice measurable stewardship through responsible sourcing and regional production. We make claims we can defend and welcome third-party validation. And we build in partnership with the people who use and supply our products: producers, ranchers, trainers, and retailers.
